An
Invitation to All Representatives of CLCA Members
On
behalf of the members of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter
Women's Auxiliary, I would like to extend a cordial invitation
to become a member. Established in the early 1950's and affectionately
named the "Grass Widows", the CLCA Women's Auxiliary
was initially formed as an assistance and support group to CLCA.
Since those early days, the Women's Auxiliary has made many
changes while still maintaining its fundamental purpose.
The
Auxiliary has opened its membership to both men and women and
encourages everyone committed to the continuation and vitality
of the landscape industry to join. In addition, the Auxiliary
has altered its focus just a bit in its ongoing efforts to support
the Association and the Green Industry through its philanthropic
endeavors - statewide via the Landscape Educational Advancement
Foundation (L.E.A.F.) and locally with College Enrichment.
We
still continue the Auxiliary's fundamental purpose of lending
a helping hand when needed and/or requested throughout the year,
whether in the form of organizing functions, providing refreshments
and meals during specific activities or just being there when
the Association needs us. The joys of fellowship and the accomplishments
of jobs well done have led to lasting friendships among CLCA
families. Several times a year, we meet just for fun at outings
and a potluck dinner with spouses and friends. Meetings are
called from time to time to work out details of specific Chapter
activities.
We
can accomplish great things with your participation on whatever
levels of interest you may have and wish to share. Please won't

WHAT
IS THE CLCA WOMEN'S AUXILIARY?
The
Auxiliary is a group of people who act in a supportive manner
to the California Landscape Contractors Association and who
also have a vital concern in the future of the landscape industry..
WHAT
IS OUR PURPOSE?
The
purpose of the Women's Auxiliary is to support the California
Landscape Contractors Association, promote friendship and
goodwill. In addition, the Auxiliary awards scholarships and
grants to deserving horticulture student and programs through
the Chapter's College Enrichment Committee and the Landscape
Educational Advancement Foundation (LEAF).
WHO
IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN?
All
representatives of members of the California Landscape Contractors
Association, in good standing, are eligible for membership.
