Dear Chapter Members,

Can you believe this is the last Presidents’ Message for the Cohens? It has been our absolute honor and pleasure to have served this year. It has been an exciting time of renewal and re-involvement post COVID. With the support and exceptionally high energy of our Board, especially Beth Valdez, Jackie Marsey and Scooter Wren, the Chapter has enjoyed the following highlights in 2024:

January: Dinner and Golf at Top Golf, San Jose

May: Partners For Success Appreciation Event at a Giants Double-Header

June: Chapter Legacy Celebration and LEAF Fundraiser

October: Golf Tournament brought 80 golfers together and 94 dinner attendees

Dinner Meetings provided great presentations that included a contractor panel presentation and Q&A, effective recharging options for equipment available and upcoming and uses of AI in the Green Industry.

One of the main goals we set for this year was to increase membership. We made some headway, but have a long road ahead to bring the Chapter to where it use to be. With this continued goal in mind, watch out for C-27 contractors who aren’t members as you go about your daily business. Talk with them, tell them about CLCA, invite them to a dinner meeting, give their name(s) and contact information to any Board member and they will follow up. Be their connection to elevating the professionalism of their business to their clients and to the general public.

We have one final event and one that we all look forward to, coming together as our SFBA Family to celebrate the Christmas Holiday Season. This will take place December 6  at the Sequoia Yacht Club in Redwood City. Not only will we share the festivities with each other, but we’ll share the Holiday Season by supporting Toys For Tots by collecting unwrapped toys for all ages or accepting donations for the same.  By the time you receive this issue of the Breeze, this celebration will most likely have already taken place. Hopefully, you were there!

In closing, a million thanks for going on this year’s journey with us and we hope you are as excited as we are to see what 2025 will bring. Under the leadership of Beth Valdez, it’s sure to be an amazing year for our Chapter, so hang on and enjoy the ride!
