Auxiliary Report
Welcome to the month of May! Happy May Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. And happy birthday to those having a birthday in May.
Thank you to Andrew Tuckman, Juan Carlos Esparza and Charlene Ott for organizing the Auxiliary raffle at the dinner meeting on April 20 at Peninsula Building Materials. We raised $50 for LEAF. Thank you to Gina Stanley of CLCA Insurance Solutions for providing the raffle basket and congratulations to prospective new member John Martinez of A.A. Environmental Horticulture and Design on winning the raffle. I hope you enjoyed your experience at our event and hope to see you as a regular member soon.
Our second Auxiliary meeting of 2023 will be Thursday, May 18 at the home of Vicky Parrott in San Mateo. The meeting starts promptly at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow provided by the Auxiliary. A Paperless Post invitation has gone out. Please RSVP through the Paperless Post invitation and plan to bring a small plate of your most favorite finger food dessert to share. We have a lot of great bakers in the Auxiliary so there will be lots to sample. If you have any questions, you can message me privately within Paperless Post or my contact information is below. We welcome all who are interested in joining the Auxiliary. You can learn more about what we do and how you can participate with the Auxiliary and help make a difference in the future of CLCA and the green industry. We do wonderful things and have a great time in the process.
Enjoy the month of May. We are quickly approaching the half-way point of the year. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Awards Banquet on June 17.

Partner Spotlight
This month’s Partners Spotlight focuses on Andrew Tuckman of SiteOne Landscape Supply who joined the company in the summer of 2021. Andrew is no stranger to the CLCA community having served on the Central Coast Chapter board in Santa Cruz for ten years while working at his former company Vision Recycling. Now, Andrew can be found running around the San Francisco Bay as a Key Account Manager servicing residential accounts with his passion for helping contractors grow their business. Andrew is the current Vice President of Membership for the SFBA Chapter in charge of the Achievement Awards, all chapter events, online communications, and newsletter content.
SiteOne Landscape Supply is a full service, national, wholesale company servicing the green industry with multiple branches around the Bay Area. SiteOne’s philosophy besides being a landscape supply store focuses on being a great place to work, delivering superior quality service & value to customers and being a mindful neighbor in the community.
According to Andrew when asked about his tenure with the association:
“I have had a great run from 2009 until today. Being a part of this community has been a blessing and a joy. The industry must continue to stay relevant and a clear path towards this goal is putting on local events, educating members and most of all supporting the C27 license any way possible. The industry will thrive as a result, and it becomes a win-win for all involved.”
In 2023 SiteOne Landscape Supply is positioning itself to stay proactive & diverse focusing on all lines of business including irrigation, hardscape, lighting, synthetic turf, battery powered equipment, hi-end landscape audio systems, bulk supply including aggregate, ground cover and soils.
Outside of the industry, Andrew can still be found performing with his band Bordinghouse Trio alongside Ben Bording from Cool Earth Gardens in Santa Cruz. And, with his new girlfriend who he has known since the 5th grade and has reunited recently after all these years.
