Hello and happy spring! Gardens are blooming and temperatures are heating up. Hope you are getting outside to enjoy the bounty that is spring…unless you have allergies! You might be admiring it from a distance.
The April dinner meeting on the battery-operated equipment industry was very interesting. Thank you to new member Richard Ogawa of TOWA and Kevin Culbert and Zach Pelletier from Milwaukee Tools on the latest on battery-operated tools for the landscape industry and new and innovative ways to recharge those tools. There was much discussion about the short term need to go battery-operated and the challenges for businesses associated with the longer-term cost of maintenance. We were a small group but it was a lively discussion. The Auxiliary held our usual raffle benefitting LEAF (Landscape Educational Advancement Foundation). Thank you to everyone who purchased additional raffle tickets, we raised $120. Thank you to Jackie Marsey for making the basket for the raffle. The winner was Beth Valdez of Davey Tree.
Enjoy your spring. Hope to see you soon.
